Noelia Muñoz del Nogal has been working at the University of Avila since 2010. She currently directs the Promotion and Development Department of the UCAV.

In teaching aspects, she is an Associate Professor with PhD by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and professor in numerous subject of Degree and Official Masters. She has carried out various research stays and teaching stays abroad: Chicago, Dallas, Krakow, Messina, Annecy, Macedonia and Greece.

She is a member of the Asocial Economy and Sustainable Development Goals Research Group; as well as, Director of the Observatory of the Social and Solidarity Economy.

She is part of the OESA2030 Observatory as Director, which is a member of the Race To Zero Campaign promoted by the United Nations. She has directed and participated in various research projects, both national and international.

Author of books, book chapters and numerous articles in scientific publications. Her research and professional development in the academic field is closely linked to the circular economy. Among its activities is the study of social economy in the field of rural development; about new projects and collaborations, among them the Spanish Strategy in Social Economy; labor and cooperative societies; supporting resilient and sustainable business models based on the circular economy; and working with an increasing number of SMEs that are more innovative in terms of products and services, and that want to manage their innovation processes and integrate green and digital technologies and processes.
