Lode Daelemans

Prof. Lode Daelemans, a Materials Engineering expert, specializes in developing high-performance textile materials using innovative modeling and characterization methods. With over 35 SCI journal articles, including top-tier publications, he supports research in the AIDesignTex project.

Prof. Lode Daelemans obtained his PhD in Materials Engineering in 2017 and started his tenure track position at CTSE in 2020. His research focuses on the development of new and better performing textile materials using innovate modelling and characterization methods, specializing in the mechanical performance. He strives for high quality and high impact research and is currently author of +35 SCI journal articles of which half are published in top 10% journals (ranked on impact factor). This includes top-tier journals such as Nature Materials and Advanced Functional Materials, and also leading journals in his specific research field such as Composites Science and Technology, showcasing the international appreciation among peers.

Prof. Daelemans will support the research within the AIDesignTex-project.
